Honourable Jenista Joachim Mhagama(MP) is a Minister of state in the Prime Minister's office responsible for Policy, Parliamentary Affairs, Labour, Employment, Youth and the Disabled payed a visit at Lwandai Secondary School on 29th July 2018.

She was accompanied by Honourable Rashid Shangazi (Member of the parliament), Beng'i Issa(Executive Secretary at National Economic Empowerment Council), Mr. James Kajugusi ( the Director of Youth Development),  Haighat Kitala (PFT Executive Director ), Rev. James Mwinuka (General Secretary- NED), January Lugangika (District Commission), Rev. Joyce Kibanga (Director of Social Services - NED) and other delegations.

 

The Minister who is a teacher by professional did her training practice (TP) at Lwandai Secondary School in 1989/ 1990 when she was studying at Korogwe Teachers Training College.

In her speech, She encouraged the students especially girls to study very  hard because they are the future leaders of this country , taking herself and some members of  the delegation who are women as their role models. She thanked  the Diocese (NED)  on her efforts in areas of education and health.

The Minister planted tree at the School compound as a sign of preserving and sustaining the environment.

The minister pledged to contribute financially on dining hall construction project at the School.
