Job title: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Reporting to: General Secretary ELCT-NED
Nature of work: responsible for observing and ensuring high-quality and timely inputs, and for ensuring that a project maintains its strategic vision and that its activities result in the achievement of its intended outputs in a cost-effective and timely
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the M&E system in the Diocese.
- Collect data in the Institution on a regular basis to measure achievement against the performance indicators.
- In collaboration with Diocesan leaders and partners, make follow-up of illegal utilization of the resources in Institution.
- Assist in creation of Institution strategic partnership with other key stakeholders. This includes scanning what is done by other partners/players in the Diocese.
- Support the Institution team in proper excursion of projects work plans conforming to all project’s deliverables, indicators and outcomes.
- Check data quality with technical teams and implementing partners.
- Maintain and administer the Institution M&E database; analyze and aggregate findings.
- Identify areas where technical support on monitoring, data collection, analysis and reporting are needed. Organize training and in-house coaching on M&E systems as required.
- Identify lessons learned and develop case studies to capture qualitative outputs of the projects in the Institution.
- Assist in the development and/or finalization of the project Work Plan and keep it updated in accordance with project activities and timeframes as relevant for the Institutional strategy.
- Support team in preparing quality project progress reporting and facilitate project midterm review and final evaluation.
- Develop baseline data for all new projects and align to the Diocese strategic Plan for all indicators.
- Facilitate projects designs of new projects and participate in proposal and concept development for project in the landscape
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned
Required profile for job: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Qualifications
- Education: A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in, Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Management. A Master’s degree in any of the above field is an added advantage
- Experience:
- Experience in designing, implementing, and operating big program M&E systems from initiation to closeout stages
- Experience in managing and providing training to communities on M&E related issues,
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in an M&E position responsible for implementing M&E activities of international development projects, Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (e.g., qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies.
- Communication: Excellent written and spoken command of English and Swahili languages, good moderation, facilitation and training skills and good computer applications skills.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, animal science, or equivalent.
- Additional courses in business management or administration are recommended.
- Extensive experience in a farming-related field.
- Management experience would be a plus.
- A passion for agriculture.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.

Nature of Work:
Performs a variety of administrative, technical and professional work in preparation and implementation of education, health and a Diaconic programs and services within the ELCT-NED.
This is full time position a director is responsible for working closely with Heads of Departments of Education, Women and Children, Gender, Youth and Students in North Eastern Diocese.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs social services and the goals and objectives of the Diocese.
- Responsible for long term and short term strategic social services plans in the Directorate including Education, Health and Diaconal, youth and TSCF and Gender and Children.
- Visit Institutions and advice on different issues concerning Administration and Management.
- Participate in all boards and committee meeting as an ex-official.
- Developing projects proposal concerning social services and seek source of income to fund them.
- To build strong relationship between Diocese and other stakeholders including preparing and implementation of memorandum of understanding and other partnership contracts.
- Undertake other duties assigned by the General Secretary
Training and Experience Required:
- Considerable experience at least 5 years in social services, including administrative capability.
- Masters’ holder, preferably with specialization in social services, Participatory Project Management in Community Development, Healthcare, Special Education, Business Administration in Community development, Science in Community Development, Community economic development or any relevant Diaconic studies.
- Considerable knowledge of Diaconical management.
- Ability to communicate effectively to groups and individuals, businesses, supervisors, employees, and the general public.
- Ability to establish working relationships with other organizations and social services partners.
- Ability to prepare and analyze reports and data, and have skill in the operation of necessary tools and equipment, i.e., computer, word processing, spreadsheet software, and general office equipment.

Nature of Work:
Performs a variety of administrative, technical and professional work in preparation and implementation of economic, planning and development programs, and services within the Diocese.
This is a full-time position; a Director is responsible for working closely with income generating projects and poverty alleviation program, in promoting the social and economic development interests within the North Eastern Diocese.
This position will include working with all entities noted above in providing guidance to individuals to better their performance.
The position will include assistance in the planning and coordination of income generating projects and businesses including programs and donor funded projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs economic, Planning and development initiatives to achieve the goals and objectives of the Diocese.
- Provides assistance in the development of short- and long-term economic development plans and polices within the Diocese, as well as the gathering of information and preparation of studies, reports, and recommendations to achieve such goals.
- Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the economic and business development program, recommend new and existing business development and expansion strategy.
- Provides professional economic development advice, assist in the application and permitting process, and serve as an advocate for economic development in line with the Vision and Mission of North Eastern Diocese.
- Promotes and cultivate a habit of business minds among employees in income generating projects and business.
- Prepares projects proposals and grant applications, and other necessary documents as may be required by the North Eastern Diocese administration.
- Formulate and implement marketing and business attraction strategies for the NEDs businesses and Projects.
- Maintains strong working relationships with heads of projects and businesses, general public, clients, and others.
- Think, plan and start other economic development activities within the Diocese.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by the General Secretary
Training and Experience Required:
- Considerable experience at least 5 years in economic, planning and development, including administrative capability
